Trouble accepting an invite?

The typical behaviour for accepting a connection request from a business is as follows:

  1. A user creates a Crew Profile from within a Business Workspace
  2. A user clicks Invite crew from within their Workspace
  3. The crew member receives an email and follows the link to adopt the Crew Profile that has been set up for them
  4. The crew member and business now have a connection between them through their Crew Profile and Business Workspace

If the crew member already has a Crewdentials Profile

The crew member will still receive an invitation by email, but will then have to log in to their Profile and accept the connection request which will be prominently displayed as they log in (see screenshot below).

The crew member can then choose to share all their data, or choose which documents to share with the business.

If for any reason the prominent connection request is not available, the crew member will need to do the following from within their Crew Profile:
  • Click the Menu button
  • Select Connections
  • Find the incomplete Connection
  • Make sure access to Personal details is toggled on, and check which documents are being shared.
  • Click Save

Common issues

Within a Business Workspace, if multiple crew profiles have been accidentally set up for the same crew member, using the same email address, then the data and documents may appear in separate crew profiles in the Workspace.


This won't affect the experience from the crew member's perspective, they will still have one account to manage their data and documents from.


To rectify this, from the Business Workspace:

  • Go to Reports > Organisation reports > Crew Details
  • Select all rows then click the Export data icon 
  • Add a filter to the data, sort by email address and check for duplicates. 
  • Find the duplicates in your Business Workspace. If the crew member is connected, the profile to keep will have a green link icon. 
  • Move all data and documents to the profile to keep
  • Change the email address then archive the duplicate profiles that don't have green link icons beside them
