Using Two-Factor Authentication (2FA)

Each time you log into Crewdentials, Two-Factor Authentication will need to be undertaken. This is sometimes called 2FA or Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA).

Sending a code is our default 2FA method when logging in. You can choose to receive your code by SMS, phone call or WhatsApp. However, if you prefer you can use an authenticator app of your choice, you will just need to change this once you have signed in.

If you are using a personal device that is not shared with other users you could tick the Trust This Device checkbox when signing in which keep you signed in on your device and browser.

Changing your Authentication Method

To change your authentication method from code to authenticator app, or vice-versa:

Sign in at https://crewdentials.app
Profile users: from Menu ☰ select Account
Workspace users: click your initials in the top right > My account > Account settings
Under Primary Two Factor Authenticator select Change
Enter your password
Choose your authentication method

Authenticator App

To use your preferred authenticator app, for example Google or Microsoft Authenticator, Authy, Duo Mobile:

Select Verify using an authenticator app
Open your preferred authenticator app
Scan the QR code on the Crewdentials screen
Enter the token (code) from your authenticator app into Crewdentials
Click the arrow ➡️ button
